Bringing Hope and Healing to Smyrna
Though the doors to our practice opened in March 2023, our story begins long before that. Following their graduation from Life University’s chiropractic program, Dr. Alex Awwad and his wife, Dr. Nicole Awwad, felt called to serve as Christian missionaries. They dedicated themselves to helping others, both spiritually and physically.
During their mission work, the Awwads formed a deep connection with the community through their local church. It was here that they recognized a great need for holistic, faith-based health care.
Inspired by their experiences and guided by their faith, Dr. Alex and Dr. Nicole made the decision to plant roots here and establish City Chiropractic.

Providing Gentle, Customized Care for Patients
Dr. Alex is the practice’s main adjusting chiropractor, using two main adjustment styles for each of his patients, including Gonstead Technique and Torque Release Technique.
Gonstead is a hands-on approach, which focuses on restoring proper joint motion and maintaining spinal disc health. Torque Release uses a specialized instrument to gently stimulate your nervous system, in turn promoting self-healing.
Torque Release Technique helps relieve pain and discomfort, improve their mobility and flexibility. The adjustments aim to relieve pain and discomfort, improve your mobility, and enhance your overall wellness, among other benefits.
